The Caliphal Palace is the largest palace in the game, sitting prominently at the center of the Round City.
During the conception and L1 phases, I was responsible for designing and recreating this palace based on the limited information available at the time. Working alongside Gaetan Perrot, the creation of this landmark served as the foundation for designing our overall palace kit.
The palace was built with several strong architectural and design intentions:
- A palace nestled in the middle of a massive circular garden.
- An octagonal base featuring a full-height hall, topped with an immense blue mosaic dome.
- Four major wings crowned with smaller domes (the Caliph’s bedroom, a reception hall, a library, and a lounge) connected to the central hall and accessible via a shared gallery.
The one liner of the location is centered on the concept of "seeing without being seen."
I would like to thank Elie Harb (LD) and Quentin Donnaint (LA), who brilliantly took over the development of the palace.
And thanks Quentin for some of the screenshot
